AIARE Public Courses
Our unique AIARE Course is designed for the backcountry user who wants a low ratio expansive classroom environment.

Classroom sessions are held in our Park City HQ. Field days are based in the remote Uintas mountains.

In this course we will identify terrain and share skills to make relevant observations while moving through terrain. ​

Hut Based AIARE
Fully immerse yourself in your backcountry education.
This yurt based 3 day 2 night avalanche course is designed to maximize your time in the field.
Based in the western Uintas, The Castle Peak Yurt is situated at 9600' and is our gateway and basecamp to an untouched and remote classroom.
Breakfast and Dinner is included as is a snowmobile "bump" into the yurt and when appropriate during the course.

AIARE Avalanche Rescue
Get the Skills to save a life.
​
This one-day (8-hour) course is intended to be retaken on a regular basis in order to keep abreast of best practices in rescue techniques and gear.
​
The Brand New Pinebrook Beacon park is steps from our HQ and we are able to capitalize on the BCA state of the art park with instant setups of multiple scenarios. The result is more repetitions and hands on training for our participants.

AIARE was established in 1998 as a nonprofit educational organization to create a researched-based avalanche education model for back-country users with the belief that avalanche education, research, and training can prevent injuries and fatalities due to avalanches.
