Founder and lead guide for Inspired Summit Adventures, Shaun Deutschlander is a Certified Ski guide, AIARE educator and seasoned mountain bike, single pitch rock and backpacking guide.

 

Born in New York,  Shaun was introduced to the Mountain West at an early age and followed a passion and desire to make those mountains her home. After attending the University of Colorado, she moved to Park City to pursue a job as a summer outdoor guide and a career as a professional big mountain telemark skier.

Her passion for being in the snowy mountain environments lead her to the American Institute for Avalanche Research and Education (AIARE) program and she became a certified avalanche educator . As her professional ski career slowed she became a lead guiding for Park City Powder Cats. During the Summer month's she would continue to guide for local outfitters and hone her craft as a seasoned guide.

 

 In 2012 Shaun decided to take all of her experiences and create a new type of guide service.

 

Inspired Summit was born out of a desire to share the profound experiences that come from being in nature, learning new skills, and exceeding personal expectations. The goal is to create experiences that meet our clients where they are and help them reach far beyond their own expectations and perceived limitations.

Shaun calls Park City home. She and her husband, Weston and 8 year old daughter can often be found heading out for family adventures, with their two dogs. 

 

Inspired Summit now has a shop space in Park City where the next chapter of community involvement and education can flourish....
