Meet Shaun & Weston
Shaun Raskin- Founder, Lead Guide, Chef & Coach
Shaun is a certified wellness coach, professional skier, seasoned mountain guide, AIARE L3, PSIA, WFR, OEC, and First Aid CPR certified. Through a holistic approach to mountains and life Shaun holds a space for her clients to engage fully in their surroundings while utilizing the activity and a consciences dialogue to facilitate personal growth.
A New York native, Shaun was born with a love of the outdoors. Throughout her childhood and young adult life she would hike, bike, climb, paddle and ski her way through much of North America’s mountains. Shaun graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder with a degree in Sociology. During her years there she completed the National Outdoor Leadership’s glacial mountaineering program and became a sponsored professional Big Mountain Skier.
Now living in Park City, Utah Shaun has 12 years of guiding experience including cat skiing and backcountry ski guide, avalanche educator, mountain biking, rock climbing, and hiking.
All of her adventures, combined with her desire to inspire others, and her passion for the outdoors has lead Shaun to create this next chapter.
Inspired Summit Adventures was born out of a belief that through the mindful exploration of nature each one of us can develop a stronger awareness of ourselves.
Weston D- Co- Owner & Lead Guide
Weston has a decade of guiding experience and is a passionate outdoorsman. As a sponsored professional skier (how Shaun and Weston first met), backcountry and cat ski guide and certified avalanche instructor, Weston is stoked on all things skiing and seeks to share that excitement with all of his clients!
Skiing isn’t the only thing that he is passionate about. He is equally addicted to mountain biking, exploring hiking trails, and climbing. He is OEC, WFR, PSIA, AIARE and CPR certified.
Weston moved out West from New York in December 2007 after graduating from SUNY Cortland with a degree in Sports Management. He grew up visiting the Wind River Range in Wyoming and skiing across the West. Maybe it was because he was born to two ski patrollers, but whatever the reason he knew he had to live out there as soon as possible.
When Weston is not guiding he is either throwing clay on his ceramic wheel or chasing waves and surfing around the world.
